iOS 5.1.1 Released

iOS 5.1.1 has been released today, mostly containing minor bug fixes. The update is available via iOS 5′s built-in OTA update, with a download size roughly around 50MB (If you have any issues with OTA Update stalling or hanging, read this).

This new version of iOS addresses these issues:

  • Improves reliability of using HDR option for photos taken using the Lock Screen shortcut
  • Addresses bugs that could prevent the new iPad from switching between 2G and 3G networks
  • Fixes bugs that affected AirPlay video playback in some circumstances
  • Improved reliability for syncing Safari bookmarks and Reading List
  • Fixes an issue where ‘Unable to purchase’ alert could be displayed after successful purchase

Again, this update only contains a few bug fixes and nothing too exciting. As for the untethered jailbreak, I’m actually glad the developers held off, since we would have burned an exploit too early in the game.
